Scholarships and Awards Policy 2018-19

LLOYD SCHOLARSHIP POLICY

Lloyd Law College is a learning-centricacademic community committed to excellent legal education. We create intellectually stimulating environment that helps students develop through case studies and case analysis; hone their writing, argumentation, counseling skills and think broadly and critically about legal problem-solution. We work to keep these programs at the vanguard of legal education. We take efforts to provide an individualized support approach to each students' academic and specific needs and concerns.

Qualifications & Conditions


  • The Scholarship shall only be available for the bonafide and regular students of Lloyd Law College.
  • The date of commencement and application of all the scholarships as enumerated below is from Session 2018-19 only, no scholarship is retrospective in application.
  • The candidate who has taken admission after availing any scholarship policy will not be entitled for the refund of any amount if leave the course at any stage, pending dues should cleared in case of withdrawal
  • All the scholarships are applicable only on college fee. Scholarships are not applicable on Transport Fee, Hostel fee and CCS University per semester Examination fee.

All scholarships are subject to the following conditions


1.

  • Enhancement of any scholarship is not possible in any case.
  • Continuation of any scholarship is not on request rather only as per policy.
  • Any outgoing student taking NOC cannot claim the fee waiver in the form of scholarship at the time of clearing his dues.
  • Delay in submission of semester fee without communication and notified reasons are ground of breach of condition and the policy for continued availing of the scholarship facility.
  • Students depositing the annual fees in advance will avail a fee waiver of 5% of annual fee provided the same is submitted within the first schedule of fee deposit window.
  • Students depositing the full college fee in advance at the time of admission for B.A.LL.B. - 5 year will avail 20% of total course fee rebate & for LL.B. - 3 year will avail 15% of total course fee rebate.
  • At any given time, no student can avail more than one scholarship / concession in college fee unless otherwise mentioned, provided the total scholarship/ concession amount does not exceed more than 50% of the college fee amount of that semester including all or any scholarship/concession availed by the student.
  • The students who are availing the regular scholarship on yearly basis (Special Scholarships for Divyang, Scholarship
  • for SAARC Countries Students, Scholarship for the Residents of North Eastern Parts of India and Jammu & Kashmir, Scholarship for Siblings of Students of Lloyd Law College, Scholarship for Army Personnel's, Scholarship for Girl Child) shall have to score 55% marks in aggregate in each semester of the academic session.
  • No scholarship shall be granted to a student who is availing government / private scholarship worth of Rs. 30,000/- or more.
  • The decision of the Scholarship committee on all matters of scholarships and concessions shall be final and cannot be contested

Merit Scholarship

Merit scholarships are available to all the admitting candidates of B.A.LL.B. / LL.B. Program session 2018-19 as per policy and conditions;

Conditions

Merit Scholarship - On the basis of marks in the Qualifying Examination, provided this is achieved with the;

  1. Pattern of qualifying examination should only be 10+2 for the B.A.LL.B. and 10+2+3 for LL.B.,
  2. The age of the candidate should not be more than 20 years in case of B.A.LL.B. and 23 years in case of LL.B.,
  3. The %age of marks as secured by the candidate should have been in one sitting. % age secured in more than one sitting or supplementary does not qualify the scholarship criteria,
  4. The %age of marks shall be calculated only in the 05 main courses of 10+2 and all course of 10+2+3, additional course marks will not be considered or as per the CCS University, Meerut admission policy

Merit scholarship is available only at the time of taking admission / in the first year of the program, this scholarship cannot be availed by anyone second time, however, other scholarships as per qualifications are available to any one anytime.

Academic Performance based Scholarship

  • 30% Scholarship in college fee will be awarded from the second year of study for the academic excellence to top three toppers of B.A.LL.B. (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 yr.) and LL.B. (1, 2, 3 yr.) in the CCS University, Meerut end term University Examinations.
  • This scholarship will be awarded subject to the minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the CCS University End term Examination with out back paper/absence / supplementary.
  • This scholarship is annual, so shall be awarded on the performance in the two semesters of one academic session

Special Scholarships for Divyang (Differently abled)

  • 25% Scholarship in College fee will be awarded to the students who have 40% disability.
  • This scholarship will be awarded subject to the minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the CCS University End term Examination with out back paper/absence / supplementary.
  • Person with disability means a person with not less than 40% percent of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority.
  • This policy does not apply to Blinds and Deaf & Dumb disability; they are covered in other scholarship policy.
  • Loco motor disability caused by Spinal Cord Injury wherein a person is unable to execute distinctive activities associated with movement of self and objects resulting from affliction of musculoskeletal or nervous system or both.
  • This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of continued minimum performance with atleast 55% aggregate in the CCS University examination in each semester during the programme.

Scholarship for SAARC National Students

  • Meritorious SAARC Nationals will be offered a scholarship of 50% in the college fee for the normal duration of the programme based on their performance in the qualifying examination (Grade 12 or equivalent).
  • These scholarships will be restricted to a maximum 15 number of students.
  • This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of continued minimum performance with at least 55% aggregate in the CCS University examination in each semester during the programme.

Scholarship for the Residents of North Eastern Parts of India and Jammu & Kashmir

  • The Seven Sister States is a popular term for the contiguous states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura prior to inclusion of the state of Sikkim into the North Eastern Region of India.
  • Meritorious residents of North Eastern states of India and Jammu & Kashmir will be offered a scholarship of 15% in the College fee for only the usual duration of the programme based on their performance (with minimum 50% marks) in the qualifying examination (Grade 12 or equivalent) and continuity of academic performance (with minimum 55% marks) during the programme in the university examination.
  • These scholarships will be restricted to specific number of students under each of the above mentioned scholarship category. Residents of northeastern states- 20; Residents of J & K– 10 only.

Scholarship for Siblings of Students of Lloyd Law College

  • For families that have more than one child enrolled concurrently, a concession of 10% on the college fee is offered to the second child for the whole academic programme.
  • This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of continued minimum performance with atleast 55% aggregate in the CCS University examination in each semester during the programme.

Scholarship for co-curricular / extracurricular activities

  • Scholarship is granted to students showing exemplary performance in co-curricular/ extracurricular activities.
  • Students will avail a scholarship of 25% on the basis of performance in co-curricular/ extracurricular activities with certificates to the level of national and state level.
  • This scholarship will be continued to be awarded to the awardee is they continue to participate, perform and achieve exemplary results.
  • The same shall be based on submission of relevant documents.

Scholarship for the wards of army personnel's

With a view to facilitate access of higher education, 20% scholarship in college fee is awarded to encourage the wards of our Martyred soldiers. The services that have been included are;

  • Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Coast Guard, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Railway Protection Force (RPF), National Security Guards (NSG), Special Frontier Force (SFF), Assam Riffles, Border Road Organization, General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Military Engineers Service (MES) and Defence Security Corps (DSC).
  • This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of continued minimum performance with atleast 55% aggregate in the CCS University examination in each semester during the programme.

“Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” Scholarship for Girl Child

  • Lloyd Law College aims to provide financial assistance to first 60 admitting girls from the LET-PI-2018 First Merit List. These 60 girls shall be counted from the candidates who will first deposit the fee from the first merit list.
  • They are supposed to deposit one full year fees in one go.
  • The fee waiver is 25% of the total annual college fee only.
  • This will be a regular scholarship that will run through out the course usual duration subject to the applicable conditions as mentioned in this document.
  • This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of continued minimum performance with at least 55% aggregate in the CCS University examination in each semester during the programme.

100% Attendance Scholarship

10% Scholarship in college fee will be awarded from the second year of study for the academic discipline in terms of 100% attendance in regular classes to any number of students from amongst all the B.A.LL.B. (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 yr.) and LL.B. (1, 2, 3 yr.) students.
